Our Teachers

The Suhls Rodeo Team is composed of a talented and diverse group of professionals:

Jed and Jody Suhl (under our teachers)

Jed is certified through Equine Connection, a research based program developed from a five-year study across three Canadian colleges, and holds advanced certifications in The Spirit of Leadershipand Leadership Strategies: The Effective Facilitator. His lifelong experience with horses, paired with structured leadership training, brings depth, credibility, and intentional design to every program.

Jody is an equally integral force behind the work. With a lifelong love for animals and years of hands-on experience alongside horses, she brings intuition, empathy, and a strong awareness of group dynamics to each session. Her ability to create a supportive, welcoming environment allows participants to engage fully, reflect honestly, and grow with confidence.

Together, Jed and Jody form a dynamic facilitation team, both certified in Equine-Assisted Learning and united by a passion for leadership development, personal growth, and experiential education. Their collaborative approach blends strategy with heart, resulting in engaging, transformative programs that help individuals and organizations strengthen leadership, communication, trust, and self-awareness through meaningful interaction with horses.

Beyond their professional work, Jed and Jody are building a legacy grounded in these same values. Together, they have a daughter and two wonderful grandchildren who actively assist with the program. They are intentionally passing down lessons of horse communication, responsibility, and teamwork, instilling the same principles of leadership and connection that define their approach to team building ensuring these values continue for generations to come.

Big Mountain

Big Mountain is a fourth-generation Native American educator and entertainer. His upbringing instilled a deep respect for tradition, culture, and storytelling, which now forms the foundation of his teaching and leadership programs. His family was part of the historic Wild Bill Show, carrying forward a rich tradition of storytelling, performance, and community engagement. This legacy informs every program he leads, combining cultural authenticity with practical lessons in collaboration and focus. Big Mountain’s programs help companies enhance employees’ self-awareness, focus, and intentionality in their actions, fostering a more cohesive and productive work environment. Drawing parallels to activities such as teepee building, fire making, and archery, participants learn teamwork, patience, and goal alignment skills critical for effective leadership and collaboration. Employees gain tools to manage energy, make thoughtful decisions, and create positive ripple effects in their work and relationships. These lessons translate into stronger communication, better problem solving, and a culture aligned with company values.
